Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Human Resource Manager. This position is based at our South Bend, IN facility. Relocation assistance is provided for this opportunity.

The South Bend plant is a part of Eaton's Industrial Sector and produces forgings in support of the Mobility Group NA Division. The facility is an integral part of the division's growth and operational platforms worldwide. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading and overseeing all HR aspects and requirements within the South Bend location.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The Human Resources Manager will provide HR strategy and support to the manufacturing plant consisting of salaried and hourly employees across various organizational functions. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to expertise in the areas of Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance and Talent Management, and Coaching. This role will have visibility and interaction with the Division Leadership Team.

  • Be a driving force in ensuring a strong and committed culture of learning, transparency, ethics, passion, accountability, and efficiency.
  • Drive positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees. Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to determine organizational issues and action plans.
  • Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management and employee development.
  • Manage and develop employee compensation/reward and recognition programs, including benchmarking with Eaton and external marketplace.
  • Support plant operations through planning headcount, manning levels, and recruitment.
  • Introduce & implement HR policies & procedures, including performance management processes, in accordance with Eaton standards.
  • Owner of HR metrics, responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing data.
  • Provide leadership guidance and mentoring. Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading/coaching others through change
  • Promote Safety & Continuous Improvement Culture.
  • Understands and considers all applicable legal implications when making business decisions and protect the organization by ensuring compliance with all labor laws.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years human resources experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship both now and in the future
  • Relocation support is available for this opportunity to those within the United States/PR. Candidates locally residing within 50 miles of South Bend, IN will also be considered. Active Duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Industrial and/or Labor Relations
  • Experience in a employee relations
  • Experience with lean, six sigma, and/or continuous improvement

Additional Information:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft application inclusive of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook
  • Presentation and facilitation knowledge with skills in coaching, training and developing employees
