What will you do?
• Support HR site engagement activities: Act as a co-leader of the Eaton Milton site engagement committee by helping plan, coordinate and execute on initiatives that align with key cultural elements, such as inclusion & diversity, wellness and community.
• Recruitment & Talent Management: Partner with HR team and site managers with attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, support performance review processes, and partner with production managers on skills matrix and cross-training. Partner with agency program to ensure effective management of contingent worker process.
• Conduct Training and Development: Maintain and update the site New Hire Orientation Program, evaluate and revise existing training programs, and deliver training initiatives.
• Provide Employee Relations Support: Aid in employee investigations, monitor attendance and initiate counseling sessions, manage Intern/Co-Op hiring and onboarding, and support local Inclusive Eaton Resource Groups.
• Ensure Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with HR legislation, monitor Early Safe Return to Work processes, and update HR-related bulletins and TV boards.
• HR Data, Metrics & Admin Duties: Track and leverage HR data and metrics, utilizing internal Talent Intelligence Platform to drive initiatives, report-out regularly, create PPT slides for all-employee meetings, etc. Assisting in running OT reports for semi-monthly payroll and Finance.
What will make you successful?
The successful candidate will have experience in Human Resources and knowledge of HR tools. They should be able to learn quickly and thrive in a dynamic environment.
They should have the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and influence continuous improvement in the site's HR processes, as well as the ability to maintain HR documentation.
It is also crucial for the successful candidate to be aligned with Eaton's values, including having a people-first mindset and valuing inclusion and diversity.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• University degree or college diploma in Human Resources.
• Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship.
• Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton will be considered for this position. No moving (relocation) is offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CHRP or in progress.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience planning site/work events.
• Experience promoting employee initiatives and open roles on social media.
Position Criteria:
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to learn and utilize digital tools to drive decision-making.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Willing to plan and assist in running site events related to inclusion and diversity, wellness, community and team building.
