What you'll do:

• This position is responsible for the management of the EMEA Global Project Specification Pursuit (GPSP) team to ensure the team delivers the product, application solution, system solution specification strategy within the region to End-Users/Owners, Engineering Procurement and Construction Firms (EPC's), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Design and Build Contractors (DB) and others as required across the B-Line and Crouse-Hinds product portfolios. This position is responsible to support, manage and coordinate within the EMEA and global markets.

• The primary market focus is the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Renewable, Pharmaceutical, Heavy Industrial and Infrastructure sectors within the region. They will execute cross-functionally across the regional and global organization to manage the development and execution of the global project specification strategies and to drive profitable specification sales and margin growth for Crouse-Hinds and B-Line products and services.

• This position will also be responsible for engaging in project work with the goal to increase the probability of Eaton GEIS products being specified during the FEED stages of major projects. This will be accomplished by actively engaging with clients, offering value added support and showcasing the benefits of Eaton's equipment and solutions. The incumbent will also support the development/processing of quotes including establishing pricing.

• This position will execute cross-functionally across the organization with sales, marketing, product management, and engineering to drive project specification positions. As a result sales and margin growth for Eaton Crouse-Hinds and Eaton B-Line product portfolios and engineering design services will occur. The incumbent is responsible for tracking, reporting team activities on global projects within the region and documenting in a project pipeline file owned by the GPSP Director.

• This position will also supervise, manage and direct the day-to-day activities of the GPSP EMEA staff. This includes managing workloads, setting project priorities, providing continuous feedback and mentoring/career development of the EMEA GPSP staff.

This position requires complex technical knowledge, strong managerial skills and strong communication skills to be able to make technical recommendations on product solutions. A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally.

Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in engineering
• 7 to 10 Years work experience, preferably in an EPC or OEM to EPCs
• 3 to 5 Year work experience in a team management position
• Proficient in MS Office

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• 3 Year work experience in a team management position preferably within an industrial market.
• 3 Year work experience of managing and coordinating team activities globally on global projects.
• Bachelor's degree from a four (4) year college or university in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar field required.
• 5 years' experience working within an End User, EPC or OEM in the Energy and Power markets, or in a Specification Engineering, Design Engineering, Engineering position within the electrical and/or mechanical industry.

Skills:

• Ability to learn, grow, and deal with ambiguity and change.
• A strong bias towards action
• Ability to travel at least 20% of time.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Excellent spoken English and written English skills, second language skills are highly regarded.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment layout, construction drawings, specifications.
• Experience of electrical, instrument or mechanical product applications and system design
• Experience and knowledge of Hazardous Area standards and design principles.
• Ability to think on your feet to field technical questions. Position locations include UK or approved remote location.
- Experience in making group presentations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks at same time.
- Confidence to make decisions and accountability for those decisions.
- Case studies of work demonstrating problem solving is beneficial for this position.
- Examples of achievement within a global team environment is beneficial.
- Confidence in self to negotiate with customer to find a mutually advantageous solution.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex problems and prioritize work and resources to find resolution.
- Experience of working on global projects with working knowledge of global standards.
- Understanding and working knowledge of EPC work methods and practices.
