We are seeking a Real Estate and Construction Manager to work with our global team in supporting the Middle East region. In this position, you will report to the Manager of Real Estate, EMEA and will support all projects and related activities for Eaton's owned and leased real estate portfolio in the Middle East region. You will support the company's real estate projects, including but not limited to construction, relocation, and site closures in the United Arab Emirates and other countries across the Middle East region.
What you'll do:
- Ensure GRE's projects are successfully executed on time and on budget, consistent with the Eaton Business System and company compliance, governance, and capital expenditure policies.
- Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules, budgets, quality of the solutions and client satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Facilitate effective communication among project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to summarize project status and outcomes.
- Address concerns or questions from stakeholders promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Supervise on-site construction activities to assess quality, progress, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations, effectively prioritizing tasks and resources.
- Act as the central point of contact for all construction-related inquiries and decisions.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documents related to construction projects.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Real Estate, Construction or Project Management.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Knowledge of any industry leading Project Management related business tools.
- Strong inter-personal skills and demonstrated experience in project management.
- Must have strong written, verbal and communication skills.
- Requires the ability to be flexible, adaptable and to deal with ambiguity and change.
