Global Product Manager

Eaton Corporation, located in Moon Township, PA, has an opening for a Global Product Manager for Electronic Trip Units & Emerging Technologies. In this role, you will play a critical role in the success of Eaton's Power Components Division by leading the strategy of Eaton's Electronic Trip Unit portfolio and evaluating new connected solutions to bring to our customers! This is a hybrid position.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,075 - $176,110 a year.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Product Line Manager of Connected Products, your primary function will lead the development and implementation of the product line strategy which includes marketing plans, product development & life cycle management, pricing and value capture model strategy, and customer value propositions to enhance the sales and profitability of Eaton's Connected Products portfolio. You will work closely with other Eaton product line teams, both domestically and internationally, to help drive solutions and innovation to Eaton's end customers. This is a great opportunity for a highly collaborative individual with proficient knowledge of industrial communication networks, circuit protection, power distribution and/or electrical machine control systems, and their associated components and customer applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Lead the marketing perspective of new product development, strategic direction planning for the product line, and implementation of new products and services launch plans.
2. Gather voice of customer across regions to create a global strategy of product lines and associated digital features.
3. Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap that accounts for changing market dynamics, competitor actions, and new market entrants.
4. Provide product application knowledge, interfaces with customers, and develops and executes tactical and strategic plans to support the product line's goals.
5. Utilize knowledge of product portfolio to generate customer and technical presentations, as well as support and develop training programs.
6. Provide cross-functional coordination on product line programs to optimize customer service and market penetration.
7. Candidate needs to have a working knowledge of the overall sales function including customer channels and negotiation techniques and as well as leverage division, customer, and departmental resources to maximize growth opportunities.
8. Answer application questions, develops, and implements growth plans, provides sales support, and conducts competition/market analysis to drive product development efforts.
9. Develop marketing collateral, in collaboration with Marcom peers, to educate and inform sales and customers of Eaton's connected products portfolio.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years of combined experience in technical marketing, engineering, or product management
• At least 4 years of experience industrial communications and circuit protection.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience with NEMA, IEEE, NIST, and/or NFPA.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Excellent presentation skills and public speaking experience.
• Ability to collaborate across a matrix organization and influence resources that are not direct reports.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
