Eaton's Digital Hardware Enablement Center of Excellence (CoE) is currently seeking a Global Platforms Portfolio Manager. The position does offer relocation assistance.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750 - $181,500 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a Global Platforms Program Manager to oversee program management for a diverse portfolio of projects within the Edge Platform Enablement COEs across the Electrical and Industrial Sectors. The ideal candidate has experience working with product teams, is extremely well organized, has a deep awareness of the costs and benefits associated with developing reusable software, application-focused work products and is inherently data driven. Experience with the Internet of Things (IoT), New Product Introduction, and data driven project and portfolio management are a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Build broad platform and platform benefit awareness (such as end of engagement successes) to technical and business stakeholders across the enterprise and oversee consistent new platform adoption engagement intake across all divisions.
-Establish program management processes that encompass enterprise-wide New Product Introduction (NPI) community interaction to conduct successful platform adoption engagements as measured by NPI time to market and time to quality acceleration, aligned with NPI teams. Drive on-time and on-quality delivery of committed deliverables within the available budget with a strong bias for action and driving urgency within the development teams.
-Establish engagement tracking metrics and dashboards using enterprise-wide project management tools and data sets. Automate the creation of data driven portfolio tracking metrics and use them to identify where additional action is needed. Articulate and report on engagement and development phases, eliminating bottlenecks between development teams.
-Leverage technical and leadership skills to manage a large portfolio of complex technology projects across a global business.
-Forecast possible schedule risks, develop, and communicate alternate solutions proactively. Communicate periodic progress on the top engagements with the right stakeholders, proactively escalating risks requiring active management. Leverage delivery managers and project managers through functional reporting to stay abreast of engagement and delivery status.
-Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, and leadership to establish clear criteria for prioritizing new initiatives, based on business opportunity, maximized revenue enablement, and available capacity. Enlist support from delivery managers and project managers that interface with NPI teams to collect requirements and deliver new platform capabilities.
-Manage all aspects of platform investment versus platform return including operational metrics, profit planning and resource allocation. Leverage and analyze available data sources for reporting active, historical and projected projects, including performance-focused metrics and various financial impacts.
-Develop and communicate schedules for new technical or process initiatives, with a focus on data driven improvements.
-Partner with the Eaton's enterprise Program Management CoE and program management community to align and mature platform CoE processes and governance.
-Build operating value delivery reviews with divisions and expand relationships with platform champions, engineering leaders and division leaders.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
-Minimum 10 years of experience working in software development, product management, or project management.
-Minimum 5 years of experience managing and delivering software products.
-Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now, or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business-related field from an accredited institution.
-Direct experience developing data-driven visualizations using PowerBI.
-Direct experience configurating and maintaining projects in Atlassian Jira/Jira Cloud.
-Experience working in a multi-team development environment employing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
-Direct experience with modern IoT and edge applications.
-Experience using Design Thinking tools and methodologies.
