Eaton's Aerospace group is seeking Global Category Manager to join the procurement team. This position can be based at any Eaton Aerospace location in the US, including Beltsville, MD, Bethel, CT, Camarillo, CA, Charleston, SC, Davenport, IA, East Providence, RI, Euclid, OH, Glenolden, PA, Grand Rapids, MI, Irvine, CA, Jackson, MI, Jackson, MS, Middlesex, NC, Orchard Park, NY, Torrance, CA, Westminster, MD. Up to 25% travel is expected on average.

Within our Aerospace Procurement Organization for direct materials, the Global Category Manager leads the development and deployment of the global category strategy for Intellectual Property (IP) and other Strategic suppliers, which is in total around $350M in spend. In this role, you will drive towards optimal TCO conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for the Direct Material category by leveraging across Aerospace Businesses.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141000.03 - $206800.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement category strategies in line with Corporate, Divisional, and site initiatives to improve supply chain efficiencies, ensure resiliency, and reduce the total cost of supply chain management. Outcomes should sustain a competitive advantage for Eaton Aerospace, utilizing global market exploitation, leveraging spend, and leveraging of technologies.
• Develop and own supplier relationships for strategic initiatives to implement cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners. Responsibility for all ASL (Approved Supplier List) classifications for the designated spend.
• Develop, implement and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships Including Manufacturers and Distributors.
• Develop and implement Supply chain solutions, including VMI, supplier consignment stock etc.
• Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies.
• Plan, prepare and execute annual Profit Planning and long-term Strategic Plans for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
• Develop innovative business solutions, forecast category projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function are achieved (Cost Out, DPO, OTD, Diversity Spend, etc.). Special focus on risk mitigation and Supply Continuity.
• Develop global communication plans and share new methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
• Undertake spend analysis, supplier assessment and supplier selection to agreed processes, build cost models (TCO/ should cost) to validate category strategies, where applicable, and to understand cost drivers.
• Provide category support to New Program Teams as required including costs, schedules, and designs.
• Negotiation and management of cost models for suppliers to include 'hard' money (such as price, volume discounts, etc.) and 'soft' money (such as expertise, technical backup, etc.) in the context of Total Acquisition Cost (TAC), Total Opportunity Cost (TOC), and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Prepare and Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually
• Manage of team of Category Managers

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 7 years' professional experience in Supply Chain, or Operations, or related Program Management.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8U.S.C. § 1158.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)
• MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain from an accredited institution
• Aerospace industry preferred
• Minimum 2 years professional negotiating experience in a global business environment
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Category Management
• Direct experience managing people is preferred
• Experience with Intellectual Property products in relevant industries a plus

Skills:

• Knowledge of the Aerospace Requirements and ability to identify technology and economic trends within the category
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving cost-out.
• Creative thinking skills to produce new approaches in category management and implement emerging tools
• Strong Cross Functional Communication and Leadership
