Field Service Technician
Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) - Canada division is currently seeking a Field Service Technician. This position will support the Northern Ontario territory. This is a remote role with approximately 50% travel. Company vehicle, tools, cell phone, laptop, and work boot allowance are provided.

You will be responsible for servicing uninterruptible power supplies and batteries and other company electronic-based products in a high voltage environment at the customer's site. The service area is primarily in the Northern Ontario region and will have the Sudbury, ON facility as the local sales office.
Essential Functions Include:
- Perform emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility.
- Responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing and repair of company products.
- Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
- Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma from an accredited institution in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology or related discipline OR Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification/Ticket
- Minimum one (1) year of experience with UPS (uninterruptable power supplies) OR battery technologies OR electronics
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Candidates must reside within 80km of one of the following locations: Sudbury, ON; North Bay, ON; Sault Ste Marie, ON or Timmins, ON to be considered.
- Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- Required to travel to US for product and safety training when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of UPS rectifiers or inverters
- Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems and schemes
