What you'll do:

Our Electrical Engineering Services and Systems (EESS) Division is hiring a Field Service Representative to join our team. This position will be located out of our Kamloops, BC service facility. The primary purpose of this position is to provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in areas of installation, startup, maintenance, repair, training and modification on power transmission, distribution and generation equipment and systems.

As a Field Service Representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working on-site with clients to ensure their electrical systems are operating efficiently and safely. In this function you will:

• Provide field service engineering, technical assistance, scheduling and sales support direction to customers in areas of installation, testing, startup, maintenance, repair, training and modification of electrical power distribution equipment;
• Responsible to self-manage assigned projects for electrical equipment; knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Performs less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations.
• Mentor less experienced technicians.
• Provide technical training.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.

What will make you successful?

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Electrical Engineering or a related field. They should be skilled in evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems with knowledge and practice of safety precautions. Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to manage and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated accountability for outcomes is required.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical field from an accredited institution/ or Red Seal Interprovincial Electrician Certification/Ticket.
• Minimum of three (3) year of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems.
• Business travel to customer sites required utilizing company vehicle (50 - 75% travel).
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.

• Required to travel to United States for training on safety and Eaton products.

• No relocation assistance is provided.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET).

• Experience in protective relays preferred.
• Experience in performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis preferred.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $109,000 a year.
