Field Project Manager

Eaton's Distributed Infrastructure Sales Vertical, part of North American sales division is currently seeking a Field Project Manager. This remote position is located in Arizona or Washington state and requires 50% travel.

What you'll do:

The Field Project Manager is responsible for setting and managing daily service schedules in the company data systems in accordance with ISO 9001 process guidelines with focus on providing quality customer service. In this role, you will successfully manage customer order projects to fulfill business and contract obligations. Responsible for quoting, pre-planning, coordination and successful execution of large projects from contract to closeout for Eaton's multi-tenant and hyperscale data center customers.

In this function you will:

• Set and manage daily service schedules in the company data systems in accordance with ISO 9001 process guidelines with focus on providing quality customer service
• Successfully manage customer order projects to fulfill business and contract obligations.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, service contractors, carriers, and sales team and Eaton personnel to achieve the highest level of service delivery satisfaction.
• Audit contractor performance to ensure contractor compliance with policies, procedures, contractual terms and quality objectives. Hold contractors responsible to comply with such
• Provide project leadership and planning expertise to the sales organization, including site visits, definition of scopes of work, coordination of resources, on site management of company and contractor personnel and product applications advice for large scale opportunities in various regions of the USA.
• Provide daily feedback through organizational channels regarding any product quality or serviceability issues as a means to achieve continuous product quality improvement.
• Ensure project completion criteria have been met and obtain stakeholders for final deliverables and project closeout.
• Establish clear set of project goals; prioritize demand, sequence of activities and drive a detailed project schedule to meet customers milestones and completion dates.
• Responsible for on average 8 projects on a rolling basis with an annual project load averaging $8-$10M.
• Responsible for P&L of assigned projects including service margins and NCR cost control.
• Work with project stakeholders to recommend and implement improvements and or modifications to the project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources to drive field efficacies.
• Manage Eaton's on site sub-contractor during the installation process of the scope.
• Attend all on-site project meetings as required for duration of the projects including scheduling, pull planning, BIM, QA/QC, safety, and lean planning.

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years project management experience, in lieu of degree 8 years of project management experience
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within Arizona or Washington state.

• PMP Certification (will be required to get certification within 12 months of hire)
• Working knowledge Project Management philosophies and toolsets
• Working knowledge Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Project
• Ability to read and understand construction engineering drawings and takeoffs.
• Demonstrated experience in Data Center equipment installation industry with a focus on construction
• Demonstrated experience in training, selecting, and managing contractors/subcontractors
• Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Project
• Understanding of Project Management philosophies and toolsets
• Field project management experience in a construction setting.
• Manufacturing industry experience

• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
