Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Clerk.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour. The hours for this shift are; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Maintenance and Facilities Clerk will support the OPEX department (Manufacturing and Facilities) by managing daily activities and operations associated with maintenance services to include external contractor management and daily routine checks on safety and regulatory standards. This supports with maintaining the facility and production equipment on its best working condition, completing PM's and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets (equipment, machinery, building, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and Critical Outputs:

• Perform daily checks on facilities systems such as PM's schedules, service requests and OEE to assign maintenance tasks to our technicians.
• Obtain quotes, create purchasing request, track and receive orders.

• Complete all safety and regulatory documentation for contracted service providers (Non-Routine Tasks, Elevated Work permit, Hot Work permit, Contractor MESH Work Permit, etc.)
• Assist with daily walkthroughs to review compliance on different projects and contracted services.
• Assist with daily/weekly/monthly walkthroughs for different facilities and equipment inspections.
• Maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation.
• Complete spare part inventories as well as reordering with different suppliers to keep a healthy stock.
• Create work order request as requested by management.
• Schedule contractors for scheduled preventive maintenance, repairs, and quoting.
• Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.)

Qualifications:

Education and Minimum Experience Requirements:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Minimum one (1) year experience in facilities support function or contractor management function.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing and facilities concepts.
• Proficiency with verbal and written communications.
• No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Proficient in reading, arithmetic and writing in English and Spanish.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Two-year technical degree or certification.
• Minimum one (1) year of inventory control experience.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams
• Good problem-solving skills.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

• Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, develop employees and facilitate corrective action while fostering an environment that supports Eaton values & philosophy.
• Ability to work in a highly unstructured and ambiguous environment.

Additional Information:

• Ability to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision to include work at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required.
• Must be a safety-conscious team player by having understanding with safety standards such as electrical safety, arc flash, and lock out/tag out (preferred knowledge of all OSHA work and safety rules).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
• Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format and work with all employees throughout plant.
• Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
