Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician - FMS4 - 3rd Shift.
Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday.
The hourly rate for this position is $17.85 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Fabrication Technician - FMS4 will operate FMS to fabricate/punch/shear steel per customer requirements.
In this function you will:
• Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
• Utilize manufacturing information, determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.

• Retrieve and load steel material in tower as needed to continue production runs.
• Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, using cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion using priority of work - 1) ship today, 2) urgent 3) oldest due dates.
• Complete and record assigned daily and weekly tasks per the TPM sheet.
• Complete necessary preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components.
• Pick up and dump scrap in appropriate containers. Documentation / record-keeping may be required.
• Run daily tool check 1/shift per quality assignment. Inspect tool check and replace worn, broken tooling to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Fabricate/Punch Parts per nesting requirements. Inspect parts for quality/defects, ensure quality specifications are met. Interface with machine controller/HMI to nest production requirements.
• Deburr/sand parts as needed to meet quality specs.
• To be cross trained on other FMS machines; Operate spot welders, press brakes, punch presses and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed. Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records. Apply powder paint and shear various types of material to proper size. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems.
• Maintenance of equipment such as turret, lubrication points, dressing of welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary. Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problems.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion, keeping oil deposits off floor.
• Follow all safety guidelines for FMS - per PEWP, LOTO, WSRA, etc. Observe all health/hygiene and safety policies as directed and specified. Complete all Daily and Weekly 5S duties-record completion on Low Volume 5S checklist.
• Duty to Report machine down time events, such as unscheduled items, crashes, conveyor belt issues, tower loading issues, other machine related. Complete Green Sheet/Incident Reports as required by Fayetteville/Eaton standards.

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Experience reading blueprints
• Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using precision measuring equipment e.g calipers, micrometers, and protractors
