CO Salary Range: USD 80,250.03 - 117,700.04 per year

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a ETO Engineer. This role is based out of our Broomfield, CO location.

The Quality Engineer is a technical role and is responsible for providing quality management system (TQMS) process support in accordance with documented procedures and practices. This is a key technical role responsible for the development, implementation, improvement and continuous reinforcement of established Quality compliance fundamental practices. As a Quality Engineer you will be working in a highly dynamic environment constantly interacting with Product Management, Engineering and Global Supply Chain.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Perform engineer to order activities to deliver customer requirements within committed deadlines
  • Prepare customer submittal drawings based on marketing requirement documents
  • Design and create fabrication drawings for supply chain RFQ's
  • Create and modify bills of material in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Provide process and product knowledge to other team members
  • Participate in team meetings when necessary to discuss new and existing ETO orders
  • Perform engineering analyses, including confirming product or system capabilities through design feasibility and test methods.
  • Support the design-to-manufacturability of new products, including creating models, drawings, manufacturing assemblies, complex assemblies, exploding assemblies, manufacturing drawings (all per ANSI standards), as well as customer/marketing/outline drawings, in SolidWorks, including calculating relevant tolerances and interferences.
  • Prepare systems, and systems integration test protocols.
  • Prepare photo, written and video work instructions for the manufacturing floor personnel, with an eye toward assembly methods and improvements thereon.
  • Perform sustaining engineering tasks within the engineering vault.
  • Prepare various technical writings including all engineering aspects of product manuals, including operations and installation manuals.
  • Participate in all engineering and manufacturing requirements of our Quality Management System.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate assigned engineering activities and projects.
  • Conduct design review presentation for projects assigned.
  • Assist with training and/or providing engineering support to manufacturing personnel, as required.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with CAD Software, such as SolidWorks, Pro E, Inventor
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience
  • Experience with sheet metal design
  • Experience working with power distribution equipment
