Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Engineering Technician. The hours for this position are 10:45pm -7:15am.
The hourly rate for this position is 30.12 - 35.32 per hour.

What you'll do:
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary function is to assist engineers in the implementation of a variety of manufacturing projects culminating in successful results. This includes activities such as assisting or leading projects or continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives and to exceed customer expectations.

Also expected to be a process expert and assist maintenance in troubleshooting/resolving issues with any issues that are hindering production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and Critical Outputs:
- Support the development of new processes and participate on PROLaunch Projects as needed.
- Assist with new capital installation and documentation including design, run-offs, and trials.
- Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis via 8D or A3.
- Assists the maintenance department in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to support cost savings objectives including but not limited to, Vision system updates, new machine design theories, etc.
- Able to perform capability studies, drive A3's projects to improve machine uptime and create efficiency gains.
- Be trained and proficient in all cells in area of responsibility. Able to troubleshoot all aspects of the of the machine including automation/vision features.
Critical Outputs:Develop work instructions/SOPs as needed. Provide process/technical leadership for entire clutch area.
Essential Functions:
- Essential physical requirements include lifting or carrying parts weighing approximately 25 pounds, handling fixtures or other items weighing approximately 50 pounds, constant standing and constant walking.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Basica Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years minimum of manufacturing experience.
- Willing to work any shift as required to support operations.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor/associate degree and or willingness to obtain degree.
- Broad manufacturing knowledge including lean principles.
- demonstrated leadership skills.
- Efficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Oracle, knowledge of lean tools, blueprint interpretation skills, and gauging experience.
