What you'll do:
Eaton's Fuel & Motion Control Systems Division has an opening for a Degree Apprentice within the Engineering Team.
The role will be based at the Titchfield site on a 37 hour per week contract with supported day release and study time.
The successful candidate will undertake a fully funded 4-year Engineering Degree Apprenticeship via Chichester University (Bognor Campus).
Eaton will provide a detailed training programme, focusing on the following elements:
• Generating design solutions for new Aerospace fuel system products to meet our customer's specification
• Preparation of concept designs, 2D technical drawings and 3D models using CREO CAD package.
• Generating final detailed engineering drawings containing sufficient detail to ensure full "manufacturability" together with all relevant information such as tolerances, materials, finishes, etc.

• Investigating and sentence non-conformance requests, provide general technical support, manage obsolescence whilst providing robust technical justifications for decisions.
• Ensuring that customer requirements are properly understood and that the design implementation meets these requirements.
• Creating and managing detailed planning of engineering activities in line with top level program plan and in accordance with Eaton gate review process
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensuring timely and consistent communication on progress, impacts and changes associated with the technical directions and status of the projects.
• Getting involved with the planning and preparation for testing of Aerospace Fuel system products.
• Participating in failure investigations associated with Aerospace fuel system products.
Qualifications:
• 3 A Levels - Grade C or above (to include Mathematics) OR
• BTEC vocational qualification at Level 3 OR
• Level 3 apprenticeship
• Relevant work experience grade in GCSE's (minimum of grade '4' for Maths and English)

The following qualities would be advantageous but are not essential:
• Knowledge of a range of manufacturing processes e.g Machine, Treatments, Assembly & Test
• Understanding of basic mechanical, electronic and electrical principles
• Experience of Additive Manufacturing and CAD
• Awareness of new and emerging technologies and understanding the cost-benefit analysis of implementation
