Engineer - Mechanical
What you'll do:
Mechanical engineer is responsible for design and development of residential breakers, loadcneters and accessories.
"• Contribute to product design of NPI / VAVE projects of Residential circuit breaker products, loadcenters and accessories such as Lock off etc to meet requirement in accordance with standards (UL, CSA, NEMA, ROHS) and market.
• Participate in concept selection, material selection and design optimization activities.
• Lead 3D modelling and 2D drafting activities using Creo, inventor tool. Work with PLM systems (e.g., Enovia, SAP) for design release and change management.
• Participate in product development test plan, assist in test execution, analyze results, contribute to root cause investigations and corrective actions for failures.
• Design optimization using DFSS tools & methods deployment - VOC, Design Scorecard, CTQs, DFMEA, DFMA, Design verification plans, DOEs for robust product design.
• Participate in DFM reviews with plant team, ensure product reaches manufacturing readiness as per design phases.
• Participate in technical reviews with cross functional teams.
• Visit external labs (ERDA, CPRI, UL) to lead/conduct product testing.
• Collaborate with Global cross functional team members to get their inputs to ensure quality and on time project deliverables"
Qualifications:
B.E. (10+6Years)
3-5 Years years of experience in design and development of LV switchgear products
Skills:
1. Hands on experience of working on K Electro-mechanical products such as MCB, Loadcenters
2. Experience of with product design, VAVE, Cost-out
3. Proficient in Creo and AutoCAD softwares. Expert in sheetmetal and plastic drafting.
4. Having good underastanding of UL489, NEC standard
5. Hands on experience in Enovia PLM ECO process
6.Knowledge in Product & Process improvement methodologies. DMAIC / DFSS Certification will be an advantage.
7.Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations
8. Communicates technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders; strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills required. Good knowledge of GD&T.Problem solving skills, Working in ambiguity, process improvement
