Engineer - BIM Plug In Developer
What you'll do:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Plugin Engineer to join our Electrical Sector team. This role focuses on the enhancement, maintenance, and testing of Eaton's end-to-end plugin workflows, along with the development of a new budgetary estimator to support project planning and cost analysis.
"A. Plug in Development and Budgetory Estimator Development:
• Own the end-to-end plugin workflow, including enhancement, maintenance, and testing across Autodesk/Revit platforms.
• Design and implement a new budgetary estimator to improve forecasting accuracy and support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure plugin performance aligns with Eaton BIM standards.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of Eaton's BIM report card and standardized BIM library.
• Support integration efforts with Project Center and other internal platforms.
• Provide updates to stakeholders via the BIM Council and contribute to the evolution of BIM practices across ETO, CTO, and stock product lines.

D. Training & Documentation: Schedule and conduct end user training sessions, create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software systems, including user manuals and technical guides.
E. Project Execution & Communication: Oversee the execution of systems projects, manage timelines and resources efficiently, and communicate progress and updates to plant staff, ensuring transparency and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
F. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, recommending and implementing software system improvements."
Qualifications:
BE Electrical/Mechanical
5-6 Years
Skills:
"• Strong experience in C# development, particularly for plugin creation and maintenance.
• Hands-on expertise in Revit/Autodesk plugin development.
• Proficiency in generating BIM models using Revit.
• Solid understanding of electrical equipment within engineer-to-order (ETO) workflows.
• Experience with 3D Inventor to Revit workflows and interoperability challenges."
"• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize plugin performance.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering and product teams.
• Experience working in agile environments and managing technical documentation."
