EMEA Lead Field Services Engineer UPS - Data Center

Role Overview:

For our Electrical Services organization in the EMEA region, we are looking for a Lead Field Services Engineer who will be working in large Data Center projects.

The role requires 50% travel across the EMEA region to our Data Center client sites.

It is opened for the following locations where we have Electrical Services offices:
Slough/UK, Stockholm/Sweden, Espoo/Finland, Hengelo/The Netherlands, Montbonnot-Saint-Martin/France, Bonn/Germany, Milan/Italy & Barcelona/Spain

We can also hire remotely (with 3-4 days on travel & the rest in home office, OR one week in & one week out, depending on preference) in these countries: UK (England), Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Italy and Spain.

In this role, you will provide a first class service for our UPS installed base, to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The role is covering installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and product repairs.
In this role, you will also offer support to the extended EMEA Service community, through high level technical knowledge and experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Data Centre commissioning across EMEA on behalf of Field Service
  • Provide highest level of technical expertise in all Hyperscale commissioning activities
  • Support and train Local Field Service Engineers in such activities
  • Manage Key Account technical escalations, providing support including site visits to engineers and customers alike
  • Drive escalations to conclusion and provide feedback, where necessary
  • Work closely with Project Managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting on selection of suitable engineers, carry out site visits as required
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office with support of high profile clients, providing technical advice and attending site visits as required
  • Maintain direct links with business units and act as focal point for all technical exchange regarding the commissioning procedures and testing
  • Manage sub-contractor teams, were required
  • Perform Health & Safety audits of Field Service Engineers and sub-contractors, ensuring the high standards required by Eaton are maintained

Qualifications:

  • Installer Electrical background and Electrical education/qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience, at least 5 years in the field with focus on Data Centers
  • Three phase electrical installation and commissioning experience essential.Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP an advantage, Programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, or process control) is an advantage
  • Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution
  • Communication skills / Customer Focus / Flexibility / Be able to work together with different cultures
  • English language at advanced level
