Electrical Engineer

Eaton's Electrical Sector America is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This position is based on site at our Omaha, NE manufacturing facility, supporting our Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies division.

Step into a role where engineering meets innovation and collaboration. As a key contributor, you'll transform customer drawings and specifications into actionable manufacturing solutions, ensuring every product meets precise application requirements. You'll be the technical bridge between our sales force and customers-guiding onboard approvals, witness tests, and circuit designs that bring ideas to life.

Your expertise will shape engineering documentation that drives drafting, procurement, and production. You'll also provide hands-on technical guidance to our manufacturing teams, support strategic product marketing initiatives, and empower field sales with negotiation and application insights.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as primary contact for customers as technical liaison in all aspects of product application, performance, and compliance to specifications and solutions to complex customer problems.
  • Review and analyze product configurations and components, design circuits, perform engineering calculations, and provide input to other departments including drafting, purchasing, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Participate in company activities such as product design, market and product improvements, productivity, quality and safety improvements.
  • Provide engineering functions in support of product marketing, manufacturing, and sales in line with company and product line objectives.
  • Participate in customer project review/drawing approval meetings.
  • Perform other related activities and special projects as assigned.
  • Support other members of the team as needed. Participate and lead customer inspections and witness tests.
  • Provide project management status of orders to meet OTP objectives, reduce cycle times, manage changes to order requirements and assist with product warranty.
  • Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge/expertise of product engineering technologies, competitor capabilities, practices, market conditions, and channels.

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar from an accredited institution

  • No relocation is offered. Candidates must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Omaha, NE to be considered. Active-Duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience designing Medium Voltage Switchgear products
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience leading projects
