Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Electrical Assembler. Eaton's Edmonton Power Centre (EPC) is our Canadian Manufacturing Facility that specializes in custom configurations of low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage motor control centres, and coordination centre for our Integrated Power Centre (E-House) offering. EPC creates custom product configurations, designs transition sections to replace outdated equipment, configures solutions for retrofit challenges, and manufactures unique front-access low and medium voltage switchgear solutions.

Reporting to the wiring team leader on the day shift this position is responsible for the following schematics and wiring them according to stand procedures. This position collaborates closely with our Mechanical teams to optimize workflow.

What will you do?
Project execution: Wire complex assemblies using drawings, schematics, and process plans. Use various fixtures, gauges, and wiring tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product. Install components and modify as necessary.
Safety and Quality Mindset: Perform in-process inspections, as required, to ensure compliance to Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards. Actively support EPC Safety, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner, including the return of tools to designated areas. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal materials replenishment system.
What will make you successful?
The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility and a willingness to learn. The candidate should be comfortable wearing basic PPE safety shoes, vests, and gloves.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings and schematics will help you are you perform standard work from established procedures and processes. Demonstrated experience of utilizing mechanical tools and measuring equipment would assist you on shift.
Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability. Along with the proven ability to use computers and various types of software on industrial machines are highly valued.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Minimum of 6 months of electrical assembly experience
• High School Diploma required.
• Be legally authorized to work in Canada without the sponsorship of a company.
• Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Burlington will be considered for this position. No moving (relocation) is offered for this position.
Preferred qualifications:
• One plus year working in a similar light industrial electrical assembly/company.
