EHS Coordinator - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a EHS Coordinator - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is 28.32 with a $0.60/hour shift differential per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Implement EHS programs tailored to manufacturing operations, including machine safety, ergonomics, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Conduct regular plant safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for production areas. This includes coordination with Front Line Leaders (supervisors, leads)
  • Ensure compliance with all Regulatory entities (OSHA, EPA, City of Sherman, etc.) and State regulations specific to industrial processes.
  • Maintain records of incidents, training, and compliance documentation for manufacturing activities.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and drills for plant operations.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents; recommend corrective actions, help drive implementation.
  • Deliver EHS training for production employees, to include, but not limited to, such things as lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and chemical safety.
  • Monitor and report EHS performance metrics, including injury rates and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and maintenance teams to integrate EHS standards into daily operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field - or a high school diploma with at least 3 years of experience in a related field. Candidates who are within one to two years of completing their degree may also be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree holders must have completed at least an internship in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards for manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Package.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Sherman, TX (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Experience with EHS management systems.

Physical Requirements and PPE:

• Ability to walk, stand, and inspect manufacturing facilities regularly.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments with noise, heat, and machinery.
• Requires PPE including safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, hearing protection, and any other PPE required by the position.
