Eaton's Power Quality division is seeking an EHS Analyst to join our team. This position is based in Raleigh, NC and will support our Raleigh Plant Operations.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67,500 - $99,000 a year.

What you'll do:
As the EHS Analyst, you will be part of the EHS Department and provide environmental, health, safety, and security support to one site with approximately 300 employees. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting all EHS activities, including achievement of EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of regulatory requirements, and ensuring documents are organized and readily available. This position is also responsible for supporting the MESH assessment program; driving incident/injury management, including root causes and corrective actions; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; tracking closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; administration of EHS specific training for the location; supporting actions during crises; site security, and influencing the creation of a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in local EHS focused teams and processes.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Training employees and conducting New Hire Safety orientation.
- Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Supports development, maintenance and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
- Facilitates risk assessments at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
- Supports site leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Engages all shift and communicates updates on daily basis.
- Facilitates engagement of site MESH Team in ownership of the MESH elements.
- Uses established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
- Conduct EHS monthly training, support the creation of training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
- Attend incident investigations (injuries, incidents, spills, property damage & near misses), manage MESH Prism and on time closure and escalation of all corrective actions in MESH Prism.
- Assist with Layer process audits for EHS processes and ensure follow through and closure of findings (daily safety walks, etc.)
- Participate and lead Emergency Response Team.
- Supports the EHS Manager with obtaining and maintaining environmental permits as required.
What you'll do:
- Manage and direct site in achieving EHS targets & objectives.
- Facilitate risk assessments at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
- Work with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
- Assist with determining appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
- Support creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
- Work to assign MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
- Drive and promote zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
- Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
- Work with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
- Pursue third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton's EHS program as world class.
- Use established EHS data processes such as MESH PRISM to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
- Support management of third party contractor programs
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution
- At least 3-months of experience in environmental, health and safety program management and/or employee EHS training or have completed a successful EHS internship.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental studies, or technical field is preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Comprehension of EPA, OSHA, and other federal/state/local regulations
- Adept at utilization of company-wide system for reporting EHS data and information
- Ability to integrate EHS with other functions
- Ability to act as an agent of change; effective in enabling and driving change
- Delivering all communication with clarity, impact and passion and tailored to the audience
