Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a District Project Manager. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates must reside within 50 miles of our Houston, TX location to be considered for this role.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:
As a global leader in global energy management Eaton's North American Sales (NAS) organization is looking for an Industrial District Project Manager (DPM) to support the Eaton brand for power distribution and control products in the greater Houston market.

The primary function of the Industrial DPM will be to lead medium sized projects from order entry through shipment/integration under the supervision of the booking sales engineer. The field sales DPM will be the primary point of contact for both commercial issues (schedule, change notices, invoicing), as well as technical aspects of the project (drawings, review, etc.) to add value and streamline to our customers buying experience. This position will work independently on daily tasks and utilize centralized support and other sales resources to delivery successful projects to customers. The goal of this position is to deliver a best-in-class post order experience to our customers differentiated from our competition.

In this function you will:
• Be a single point of contact for customers post order buying experience
• Update project stakeholders throughout execution of the project
• Manage the lifecycle of the order against the critical path and project objectives
• Organize and lead kickoff meetings/project updates/drawing reviews as required by the project
• Coordinate order activities between external project stakeholders and various internal stakeholders (plants/field services/warehouses) into one Eaton solution
• Manage post order deviations from critical path and look for solutions to meet customers expectations escalating to management where needed for support
• Apply project management methodologies to execute projects and solve problems
• Create documentation and submittal plans
• Review technical documents for completion and accuracy
• Manage change orders as required and keep projects in good financial standing
• Represent sales organization at factory acceptance tests (FAT's) when required
• Coordinate post order warranty support

Secondary duties of the Industrial DPM will be to support key proposals, drive a culture of continuous improvement and support in development of best-in-class support for industrial projects and you will:
• Review EPC documentation and create submittal plans to be used in proposals
• Create forms and templates as needed to drive consistency around customer experience
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and use of digital tools inside of the sales team
• Assist sales engineers in large project conversion lining up documentation for centralized project management to execute

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum three (3) years of electrical industry experience
• Possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• PMP certification
• Understanding of medium and low voltage distribution and motor control
• Three plus (3+) years of project management experience

Skills:

Position Criteria:
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• Ability to present information to others in a persuasive way, professionally and diplomatically assert the leadership role that the title project manager conveys
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of an assignment and customer satisfaction
• Ability to apply project management methodologies and strategies to reduce potential project risk throughout the duration of the project lifecycle
• Capable of planning and executing presentations on specific products and services to internal and external customers to gain recognition and customer acceptance
• Knowledge of major competitors in the market and their alignment with distributors and major customers
• Knowledge on plant front-end scheduling, engineering, and manufacturing process and equipment cycle times
• Possess advanced computer skills in advanced Word, Excel, Vista and Bidmanager
• Consistent demonstration of planning, leading and communication results from executive changes
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and situations to achieve superior proactive project order management and customer service
• Ability to travel up to 10%

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $101,250 - $148,500.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
