Eaton's Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Distribution Center Manager. This is an on-site position based at our Ellisville, MO division HQ location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year.

What you'll do:

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to manage a high-volume distribution center, driving operational excellence across order fulfillment, safety, quality, cost, and team engagement. This role oversees both operational and functional teams-including Quality, EHS, HR, Customer Service, and Maintenance-and partners across the value stream to ensure seamless performance from inbound logistics to customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance processes, standard work, and team engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local regulations, including EHS and ISO standards.
  • Manage warehouse systems and infrastructure to support efficient, scalable operations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, facility lifecycle plans, and workplace improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a distribution center
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of managing professional level associates
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with fully integrated and automated Warehouse Management Systems both for core process and slotting.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems
  • Experience with quality systems and ISO certification

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-functional and highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to work within a unionized center understanding the union contract
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills with a proven ability to drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and then inspire, coach, and lead the team to meet or exceed these expectations
  • In depth knowledge of automated warehouses
  • In depth knowledge of process flow and value stream mapping to drive optimization of people, tools, and resources
  • Financial planning and forecasting skills, for budget oversight and to project results of improvement or risk in operations
