Credit Risk Assessment Associate Analyst

What you'll do:

  • This is a new role as part of the creation of a new global Credit Risk Team. Primary function: supporting the regionally-centralized APAC Credit Risk Team ; run controls & processes that drive adherence to Eaton's Credit Management policy (i.e. risk analysis, ensuring customers' credit limits are checked against 3rd party credit recommendations, payment history & other risk data - helping growth whilst keeping financial losses at a minimum);
  • Responsible for: credit risk analysis; recommending & setting Credit Limits (to risk / sales); driving credit limit approvals; with the support and backing of the Global Credit Risk Team Leader, regional Credit & Collections Managers and the rest of the Global Credit & Collections Team.
  • Work with leaders and controllers to reduce credit risk, ensure that all processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure full portfolio is compliant to Credit Procedures and meets internal controls, Sarbanes Oxley & audit requirements.
  • Manage and monitor the end-to-end decision-making process to ensure alignment to customer (internal/external) expectations.
  • Enforce APAC customers credit management and propose solution for significant credit control improvement.
  • Take credit assessment and credit analysis report, provide relevant business analysis reports.
  • Manage closely with outsources like D&B or other consulting firms to deliver timely APAC credit data to cooperate with plants for risk control.
  • Work with a collection team to manage and control annual customer review.
  • Ensuring customer payment terms comply to Policy thresholds across the region - and recommending / driving standardization of payment terms across regional divisions where required (i.e. across a customer group).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education
  • More than 3 years of experience, preferably in finance credit related experience.
  • Customer service, sales experience and project management are also preferred.
  • Demonstrable open communication and initiative.
  • Good knowledge of SOX and compliance requirements.
  • Effective and efficient working practice
  • Ability to think, coordinate, and solve problems
  • Familiar with financial operating systems, such as SAP or Oracle
  • Fluent written and Oral English
