What will you do?

As a key player in our team, you'll unravel the mysteries behind the numbers, providing our senior leadership with detailed analyses that drive strategic decisions. You will dive into the pulse of our company's financial health, from annual profit plans to monthly forecasts and have the ability to collaborate across departments, aligning budgets and models with our grand vision. As the overseer of ENCORE financial reporting, your role is crucial in providing timely, accurate information to top executives. Here are the key responsibilities:

Monthly Reporting and Analysis:

  • Validate and prepare monthly reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical and Industrial Sector Finance teams to understand business results and communicate them effectively during monthly Actuals and Forecast meetings.
  • Provide detailed analyses to Senior Management, allowing them to measure progress against the profit plan, forecasts, and prior year.

Presentations for Leadership:

  • Craft presentations for the VP, Controller, and CFO to use in meetings with the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Senior Leadership Council (SLC).
  • In months without such meetings, prepare presentations to update the BOD and SLC on the company's financial status.

External Filings and Earnings Releases:

  • Prepare precise analyses to support external filings (e.g., quarterly earnings presentations/webcasts, 10-K and 10-Q disclosures).
  • Assist the V.P. of Technical Accounting with the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for 10-Q/10-K reports.

Urgent Analyses and Special Projects:

  • Handle urgent and ad-hoc analyses requested by the CFO and other senior finance leaders.
  • Contribute to departmental goals through participation in special projects and training.

These abilities will enable you to effectively interact with individuals at all organizational levels, across various functions, with diverse personalities, including Executive Management and Sector Finance teams. Your analytical skills and knack for decoding complex financial data will be the compass guiding our success.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related field (e.g., financial consulting, audit, accounting, etc.).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or within the future.

Preferred Requirements

  • Deep Finance / accounting background, and broad business experience
  • Technically proficient in Longview Solutions and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with financial planning software
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial data to non-finance stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizations and time management skills
