Co-Op: Continuous Improvement Engineer
What you'll do:
Position Overview:
Reporting to the plant Operations Excellence Manager, the Continuous Improvement Engineer Associate will lead initiatives to drive Lincoln's continuous improvement and cost reduction programs. This includes scheduling and leading kaizen events to drive improvements in safety, quality and productivity.

In this function you will:
• You will implement Lean Manufacturing concepts, including Value Stream Map evaluation of current state production opportunities and the implementation of future state throughout all areas of operations
• You will evaluate manufacturing problems and implement improvements,
• You will increase safety and repeatability of existing processes,
• You will perform time study analysis and create standard work and line-balancing documents,
• You will drive continuous improvement on the shop floor, including opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and cost reduction
• You will coordinate and complete multiple projects on schedule with minimal supervision.
• You will create user friendly picture-based work instructions for new and existing product builds
• You will perform data analysis to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office
• Some knowledge of sheet metal process, automated assembly, tooling, packaging, product design and manufacturing procedures and methods.
• Experience working with ISO 14001 (EMS)
• Strong root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of electrical principles
• Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Strong Knowledge of Lean and TPM principles.
