Continuous Improvement Supervisor

Eaton's division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Supervisor.

This role is scheduled for 40 hours/week, M-F 9:00am-5:00pm.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $108,139 - $137,504.40 per year.

What you'll do:

Job Description:

Lead Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence.
Drive continual improvement in overall product line operations performance through the application of sound engineering decisions, Lean enterprise philosophies, six sigma technologies, and project leadership.
Lead or facilitate projects such as Rapid Improvement Events, VSM, Continuous Flow, Standardization 5S, Error Proofing, Eliminating Waste, TPM, Business Process Improvements, and Basic Problem Solving.
Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for implementation of continuous improvement based upon lean assessment.
Develop business cases and executive summaries for continuous improvement projects that support the priorities established by the Continuous Improvement Council.
Drive implementation of Eaton's CI Leadership Management System (Continuous Improvement Framework).
Assist in training and development of personnel.
Assemble, verify, and analyze the results from CI events, prepare reports and present findings. Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes and systems to obtain optimum cost and quality manufacturability.
Contribute to plant cost out objectives. Investigate and develop understanding of new technologies and processes to be able to assess the impact to the total business.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to design, develop, justify and guide the installation of new engineering concepts, equipment, tooling, processes and systems through procedures so that optimum manufacturing cost can be achieved and maintained.
Participate in and exert leadership in local and divisional committees, teams, and councils that function to improve current technologies and business practices and develop a vision for future technologies and business strategy.
Provide supervision and direction for Continuous Improvement Tech.
Facilitate the Continuous Improvement Council to communicate implementation status, provide projects updates, and prioritize projects and resources.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of manufacturing experience.

Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Engineering problem solving and quality techniques to understand tools to resolve quality issues
  • Utilizing production, inventory, and financial principles using Kaizen events to reduce labor and increase productivity
  • Lean manufacturing and JIT
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with lean tools, including the 8 forms of manufacturing productivity waste and eliminating them

Must have Kaizen Participation or Facilitator certifications. Must have Lean Tool Training certificate.
