What you'll do:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Thought Leadership & Content Strategy, the Content Manager will lead the strategy, production and measurement of enterprise marketing communications activities both digital and traditional, to build brand familiarity and drive thought leadership. The Content Manager will be a leader in the Brand and Thought Leadership Center of Excellence (CoE) in the Global Marketing Communications team, and will focus on the corporate secular trend Digitalization.
The Content Manager will engage closely with the segment and business marketing teams to achieve target objectives. Additionally, the Manager will help align Corporate messaging with business priorities and drive enterprise messaging into the businesses. There will be close collaboration with business segment marketing teams on content creation and promotion positioning Eaton in key market segments. The Manager will drive the creation of high-quality short, medium and long-form marketing materials working with the organization's subject matter experts and thought leaders. This includes the planning, production, distribution and optimization of content in support of our brand positioning.
- Provide strategic leadership and help establish goals for Digitalization-related content and thought leadership activities
- Create results-oriented integrated Digitalization-focused marketing campaigns that drive awareness and preference for the Eaton brand and leverage earned media
- Own measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and content evaluation, regular report outs to team members and leaders
- Identify key audiences and establish targeted personas for Digitalization content
- Create value-driven messaging and implement content marketing strategies and measurable outreach programs that resonate with key target audiences to bring more audiences into the sales funnel
- Contribute to enterprise editorial calendar and develop an omni-channel integrated marketing communications strategy, coordinating closely with segment, business and regional marketing teams
- Identify and help execute thought leadership opportunities including event sponsorships, senior leadership speaking engagements, panel participation sessions
- Define global processes for content management and help drive regional adoption of global content storytelling
- Understand all aspects of Eaton's brand promise, attributes and standards, and accurately represent Eaton in written and verbal communications, act as a key steward of the company's brand identity strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or associated field
- At least 7 years of relevant marketing and communications, digital marketing experience
Skills:
- Experienced content marketer who can collaborate with others to develop and execute targeted, relevant, personalized content
- Experienced storyteller, writer and editor for multiple channels and formats
- B2B industry expertise
- Aptitude for understanding and explaining technical information in an engaging way for different audiences
- Aptitude for learning and adopting tools in the Martech stack
- Experience with a web development platform (AEM preferred) and a marketing automation platform (Eloqua preferred), as well as social media platforms
- Digital marketing, content marketing, SEO, analytics, integrated campaigns, lead generation, demand generation expertise"
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to independently manage multiple projects and complete projects to schedule
