What you'll do:

Job Summary
Drives purchasing practices for Long Steel Global Category Management, understanding, Commodity, Market and Business needs. Responsible for region alignemnt needs with the Global Commodity Strategy, ensuring the best quality, delivery, and specification requirements at the lowest possible costs. Identifies new suppliers (internal and external) and managing current suppliers including, potenial phase out analysis, Long Term Contracts, price adjustments, market trends analysis, and be the connection with other Funcional areas as Engineering, operations, quality, sales. Stablishing a good relationship with Suppliers and also with Global Eaton Leadership Team. Will be responsible for leading long term cost out strategy, working Capital improvements, Resiliency and any other initiatives to achieve Mobility Group SA strategy plan and also stablish connections with all Regions to maximaize oportunities and minimize risks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for SA Long Steel Category management, and Key Global Suppliers, with high spend ~$70Mi, with global exposure and interfac;
  • Understand Product Line Strategy, Market trends, Specific Regions needs and link to Global Strategy.
  • Stablish good relationship with Eaton Leader Ship Team, pairs and opps team.
  • Applies skillful negotiations with local/ Global suppliers and internal key stakeholders ; problem solves and settles disputes; develop win-win resolutions, and creates positive relations with tact, diplomacy, and appropriate judgment for the function.
  • Defines and applies complex data analysis and analytical tools for process improvements.
  • Creates innovative approaches for utilizing and applying negotiation stategies and project management tools and techniques for procurement applications.
  • Possesses sound knowledge and applications skills of the value chain process; and possesses strong to expert ability to analyze and interpret cost drivers when developing cost out strategies and also be able to hold price increase requests
  • Deep dive on Commodity Strategy considering strategy reviews, footprint chanages, goals definitions and action implementation to assure expected performance.
  • Coordinates long term cost out initiatives to create a health pipeline for cost reduction and projects implementation interfacing with other operational and functional areas, to achieve MG strategy plan.
  • Implement initiatives to improve working Capital as DPO/ DOH/ inventory reductions.
  • Define and implement initiativies to increase Resiliency level

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor's degree required in any major considering consistent experience in area

Years and area of experience required

  • Consistent professional experience in SCM procurement

Technical knowledge

  • Advanced/Fluent English;
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc;
  • Knowledge of purchasing management including vendor selection, purchasing, performance metrics, and continuous process improvement;
  • Negotiation Skills;
  • Desired knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle mainly).
