Commercial Box on Demand Operator 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Box on Demand Operator 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.53/hour + $0.60/hour shift differential per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Set up, understand and proficiently operate the Box On Demand (BOD) and the box gluer machines.
  • Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
  • Manage workload from multiple departments within the plant
  • Understand the different cardboard types and sizes.
  • Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
  • Replace carboard material with a forklift as needed.
  • Empty the cardboard bailer as needed and dispose of as required.
  • Ensure quality of all boxes.
  • Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Fabrication shop experience.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automated machine experience.
  • Basic computer skills and machine programing experience.
  • Ability to translate between fractions to decimals

Position Criteria:

  • Able to stand on feet continuously during shift and able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas).
  • Environment exposure includes pinch points, oil and sharp objects.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours+ and perform repetitious tasks
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently with a focus on details
  • Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business
