Commercial Box on Demand Operator 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Box on Demand Operator 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.53/hour + $0.60/hour shift differential per hour.

What you'll do:
- Set up, understand and proficiently operate the Box On Demand (BOD) and the box gluer machines.
- Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
- Manage workload from multiple departments within the plant
- Understand the different cardboard types and sizes.
- Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
- Replace carboard material with a forklift as needed.
- Empty the cardboard bailer as needed and dispose of as required.
- Ensure quality of all boxes.
- Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Fabrication shop experience.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Automated machine experience.
- Basic computer skills and machine programing experience.
- Ability to translate between fractions to decimals
Position Criteria:
- Able to stand on feet continuously during shift and able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
- Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas).
- Environment exposure includes pinch points, oil and sharp objects.
- Ability to stand for eight hours+ and perform repetitious tasks
- Ability to follow directions and work independently with a focus on details
- Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business
