What you'll do:

Job Summary
Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Regional Category Manager, Fabrication to join our team.

Within our supply chain, the Regional Category Manager, Fabrication will support the development and deployment of the global category strategy for metal fabricated components, assemblies and lugs and neutrals for the North American region. This RCM will lead the management of approximately $235M of spend to drive category performance towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, working capital, quality, delivery, resiliency, and VAVE) by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the "One Eaton" philosophy through collaboration with business stakeholders, operations and centers of excellence (ESSP, should cost, DMP, One Part, etc.). This RCM will be accountable for supplier relationship and performance management leading supplier negotiations, business reviews, and resolving all supply issues. This poisition will also support category continuous improvement initiatives to achieve procurement excellence.

* This is a Hybrid role and requires working on-site at a desinated Eaton location 3 days a week. This position cannot be supported remotely.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with assigned Electrical North America category suppliers and Eaton plants to execute sourcing strategies that deliver improved resiliency and cost out to ensure supply continuity for growth and optimized pricing for sustained market competitiveness.
  • Negotiates and manages supplier contracts in accordance with NA business practices and EIIL contracting guildelines established by Office of Supply Chain Management.
  • Ensures that key category metrics (cost out, resiliency, working capital, contracted spend, diversity, DPPM etc.) are driven to optimal conditions.
  • Reviews economic and market trends to advise the business on optimal sourcing strategies and any changes to supplier lead times for assigned categories.
  • Maintains busines relationship with suppliers and key stakeholders within Eaton.
  • Ensures that high level of quality and delivery performance is maintained by suppliers and associated partners at all times.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in sourcing category management.

• Experience with manufacturing sourcing process, fabrication & steel cost drivers and industry best purchasing practices.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• No relocation will be provided for this role, candidate must reside within 50 miles of a designated Eaton office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience executing manufacturing sourcing strategies that deliver improved resiliency and cost out to ensure supply continuity for growth and optimized pricing & market competitiveness.

• Carbon sheet steel, stampings and/or sheet metal fabrication.

• Experience with economic and market trends to advise the business on optimal sourcing strategies and any changes to supplier lead times for assigned categories.
