What you'll do:
Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Castings Supplier Quality Engineer. This position is part of our Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division located in our Euclid, OH facility. The Euclid facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
Primary Function:
The Castings SQE will be responsible for the quality casting portion of the Certified Supplier Program in accordance with our Quality Management System. This includes designing, creating, maintaining, and performing Euclid's casting inspection process. The SQE will be the Subject Matter Expert on castings and will focus on qualifying, educating and advising castings suppliers, as well as supply their expertise to Eaton's organization, especially within new product introduction, and emerging technologies. They will be interfacing with internal Customers, Supply Chain, Engineering, ELSS and other disciplines to assure safety, quality, and cost control.

Essential Functions:
In this function you will:
• Perform Assessments and audits of potential and existing casting suppliers.
• Perform Assessments and audits of customer dictated Special Processes.
• Act as a consultant to all disciplines (Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Commodity Management, Operations etc.) regarding casting design, Foundry capability, processing and acceptability.
• Guide foundries in their use of all elements to the casting process in order to meet requirements.
• Assist in design, review, and approval of new casting drawings on behalf of Euclid's Quality Department.
• Maintain Engineering specifications in our castings evaluation process.
• Create and Maintain casting vendor quality requirements (VQRs), as well as general and specific procedures for casting inspection.
• Review and disposition the First Article Inspections of all castings that come through the Euclid facility.
• Maintain the First Article Inspection Report Library
• Determine where inspection is best performed (Source or Destination).
• Perform inspection of castings
• Represent Quality on Material Review Board activities for casting and parts made from castings inclusive of issues in machining, NDT, FPI, and Pressure Test
• Lead the evaluation, disposition, and correction of problems found in machining of castings (determining cause and responsibility for nonconformances).
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or manufacturing engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience with Non-Destructive Testing
• Five (5) years of experience in a casting manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Euclid, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in aluminum sand castings
• Bachelor's degree in metallurgy or castings from an accredited institution
• Expertise with casting gating, risering, chilling, metal preparation, mold making, HIP Processes, heat treat of castings, Non-Destructive Testing, and Dimensional Inspection.
