Cable Tray Rigger- 1st Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Cable Tray Rigger- 1st Shift at our location in Sherman, TX. In this role, you will assemble products in accordance with established standards by performing the following duties below. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. The rate for this position is $19.53/hour per hour.

What you'll do:

Job Functions:
• Determine appropriate rung size for ladder assembly in accordance with the Bill of Materials.
• Assist with set up of cable tray fixtures in accordance with the Bill of Materials.
• Properly affix rungs in position to be tacked and welded.
• Clean welds and verify quality standards are met.
• Unload and safely stack all finished ladders in accordance with shipping requirements.

• Performs 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear necessary protective gear.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX (50 miles) will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a machine shop/sheet metal processing manufacturing environment

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours plus and perform repetitious tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand prints and shop drawings and use simple measuring tools.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
  • Work as part of a team having responsibility for producing an entire product or component of a product.
  • Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate-.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
