What you'll do:
The purpose of the positon is to support Eaton manufacturing plants and other Eaton locations in the EMEA region with operational procurement activities from our Center of Excellence (CoE) office in Budapest.
Main Responsibilities:
- Procure direct materials (Internal & External) following plant and corporate regulations
- Initiate RFQ process and negotiations with external suppliers
- Communicate and coordinate with network schedulers for plan and execution updates
- Understand material requirements and processes requisitions to provide POs to suppliers (Internal & External)
- Works closely with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of material to plant
- Resolve internal discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers (e.g. delivery issues, claims, quality issues etc.)
- Work closely with logistics partners & Logistics schedulers/planners and suppliers for material delivery as per incoterms.
- Evaluate and monitor supply performance and work with suppliers and category managers to implement corrective/preventive actions for on time performance improvement.
- Supplier invoice management and support in resolution of holds for timely payments
- Maintain inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set and work with inputs from inventory analysts and network schedulers for optimized inventory level.
- Assessing and mitigating risks associated with the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree
- 2-3 years of experience in supply chain/procurement
Skills:
• Ability to communicate in both English and French in a professional capacity.
• MS Office skills (Excel)
• Experience in purchasing/procurement (manufacturing environment preferred)
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Vista, BaaN,..)
• RFQ process management experience
• Supplier health check experience
• Ability to communicate effectively
