Business Development Manager - DC UPS

The successful candidate will bring a mix of technical and sales skills and be given the opportunity to join a market leader and innovator of indoor and outdoor DC Power solutions, hybrid solutions, including solar and wind. This is a highly visible role working on major accounts across telecommunications and utilities.

Key Duties:

  • Support the Front-Line Sales Engineers with project opportunities for Key Accounts across NZ.
  • Apply sales and post-sales support to maintain and grow DC UPS Business in ANZ.
  • Maintain close relationships with key accounts by discussing customer technical requirements, creating solutions, and developing new business.
  • Prepare tenders for products to meet the customer's needs and promote opportunities for sales of Eaton products.
  • Keep abreast of product knowledge by participating in ongoing training and working closely with Power Quality Product Management and Sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in sales and technical customer support roles within the Telecommunications of Electrical industry.
  • Track record of success in power system sales preferably in telecommunications or utilities industries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering OR a licensed engineer preferably in industrial
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
