Eaton's Commercial Products & Assemblies division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II (Kitter) to join our team on 1st shift. This position is based at our Hodges, SC location. Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.00
Position Overview:
The Assembly Kitter will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling and organizing components into orders to supply the production line to improve assembly efficiency.

In this function you will:
• Receive, sort, and PTS scan all incoming materials already delivered to a staging location to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management.
• Verify quantities of materials to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
• Verify and correlate materials with job orders (GO#) to ensure all necessary components are available for production.
• Assign and PTS scan materials to designated locations upon movement to maintain organized and efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with planners to complete all scheduled jobs, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of production requirements.
• Communicate with Team Lead to enter remakes for missing bars or housing materials to address shortages and maintain production continuity.
• Inspect material for defects.
• Comply with all safety policies/procedures and WSRA's.
• Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Operate a forklift to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility.
• Perform other job duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
Required Basic qualifications:
• 3 months of manufacturing experience
Position Criteria:
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with team members.
• Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace. (5S+)
• Able to work independently with minimum direction.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
