Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Assembler (Station Class) - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position starts at $18.91 with 6-month progressions up to $22.25 (plus .75 shift differential). Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

The primary function of this position is to utilize knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a variety of tasks in the production of the Power Systems station class arrestor product lines. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.

Safety:

  • Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA's, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves.
  • Identify any safety issues and report immediately to supervisor or manager.
  • Conduct general cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.

Production:

  • Work under general and/or intermittent supervision to execute all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to the production of station class arrestor product lines according to the OMS/standard work for each operation.
  • Be fully trained on all operations within the Station Class Department, including, stack blocks, sulphur cement, final assembly, pack, testing, etc.
  • Utilize tools including, hoists, sulphur pouring equipment, various air and hand tools. Works within the department and assists elsewhere based on production needs.
  • Maintain quality standards consistent with the Eaton's Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy. Visually inspects components and products. Takes ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.
  • Notify the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality.
  • Work in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells as needed.
  • Perform assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations, which may not be specifically listed above.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Olean, NY will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must not be on a Letter of Concern (Internal Only)
  • Must be in current position for a minimum of 12 months (Internal Only)

Position Criteria:

  • Be able to read/understand measurements/measurement devices (ruler, fractions)
