Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer - Operations Analyst who will be primarily responsible for driving process improvements, managing operational tools, and enhancing capabilities. The role acts as a liaison between engineering, sales operations ensuring alignment across functions and continuous improvement of engineering processes and documentation.
What you'll do:
Project Management & Process Improvement
- Lead and coordinate improvement activities at the Customer Engineering Center, including tracker management, pulse reporting, and issue escalation.
- Apply LEAN methodology to design or optimize processes (e.g., process flow mapping, Kaizen), in collaboration with the Continuous Improvement Lead and Customer Care teams.
Operational Excellence & Documentation
- Act as the key user for Application Engineering tools, support onboarding, define KPIs, and identify process gaps.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of the Application Engineering Operations framework and the EMEA Standard Operating Model for Customer Engineering.
- Create, consolidate, and maintain up-to-date process documentation and FAQs.
Onboarding & Training Support
- Support the onboarding of new engineers, ensuring access to resources, tools, and SharePoint platforms.
- Partner with the center trainer to develop and maintain training materials.
- Assist in the coordination and publishing of monthly newsletters to support engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Sales Operations team to align on engineering application processes and tool usage.
- Support resource planning by engaging with business units and regional stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication across functions to ensure consistent and effective deployment of engineering initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Bachelor's degree (electrical, electronics, mechanical or industrial engineering) required.
- Sales operations and/or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
Skills:
- LEAN, process mapping, green belt and continuous improvement tools knowledge desirable.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with CRM, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools is a plus.
