APAC Technical Service Engineer

What you'll do:

A. This position belongs to a part of global sales and marketing team. Responsible to deliver premier customer experience in quotes and service jobs, to facilitate profitable growth of Filtration product lines globally and Secondary product lines regionally on APAC level.
Lead on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of high complexity equipment/systems, while also undertake technical support, customer relationship management, and team technical guidance/knowledge transfer to enhance TSS team capability in service jobs
B. Supports sales team per company strategic direction and support growth effort in high profit opportunities for target filtration product lines and market segments. Support APAC sales team to execute a sales growth strategy with objective to gain market share against competition on technical aspect.
C. Prepare technical proposals and product and application solutions by technical agreements and profitable quotes for discrete industries such as Chemistry, Oil and Gas, Painting/Coating, Pulp and Paper, Water, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical per customer requirements to sales team. Proactively work with NAFTA/EMEA/APAC counterparties and cross functions to drive results and Time-To-Customer.
D. Develop standard sales support tools for select product lines to improve sales team competencies and productivity. Review and maintain standard product price book annually to align with regional market situation as well as company profit plan.
E. Develop and provide filtration product /application training to sales, distributors and other functional teams; visit customer together with sales to help on technical discussion and new application development occasionally.
F. Being the key to field service revenue generation for APAC.
G. Core Technical Service. Take charge of on-site service; resolve complex faults that regular engineers cannot handle; provide root cause analysis and solutions.
H. Customer Relationship & Communication. Act as the core technical interface to connect with customer project manager or technical leaders; clarify requirements/service scope, feedback service progress; handle customer complaints and technical inquiries; maintain long-term cooperative relationships.

I. Technical Accumulation & Knowledge Transfer. Organize typical fault cases, compile technical documents (e.g., operation manuals, maintenance guides); conduct technical training and on-site coaching for regular engineers to improve the overall capability of the team.
J. Project & Process Optimization. Participate in the planning of on-site service projects; optimize service process (e.g., shorten fault response time, reduce maintenance costs); feedback problems of products in practical applications and assist Design Engineering team in product improvement.
K. System (Salesforce etc.) and Process Compliance. Being a change agent for continuous improvement.
L. Manage Filtration APAC Call Center - technical support within the required service level.
M. All other activities as identified by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering preferred.
  • 10 years+ experience in Technical Support engineer /Application engineer / Product engineer / Industrial engineering, with 3year+ in field service.
  • Filtration products experience is a plus or fluids/ processing engineering related experience
  • Electrical/Automation knowledge experience especially on PLC is a stronger plus
  • Good English capabilities in both oral and written.
