Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Aerospace Product Engineer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you'll do:
Position Overview:
Eaton Aerospace is looking for a highly-motivated engineer to be a Product Engineer - Aerospace Direct Hire Program. This role will work with a cross-functional team to ensure smooth operation of our manufacturing process. The primary responsibility of this role will be to review customer requirements for compliance. Key other tasks may include problem-solving of systemic issues, disposition of discrepant
material, and identification of product improvements and implementation of corrective actions. This role may support fast response calls and be expected to use sound engineering judgement to rapidly address business critical operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility - perform engineering evaluations of customer data to Eaton data, identify differences, and address per approved processes.
• Participate on continuous improvement teams for assigned product lines as product engineering representative. Work in team environment to meet plant driven metrics for quality, safety, delivery, performance, and inventory.
• Champion product engineering driven cost out projects for hose, tube and fitting product engineering to meet annual cost out target for the department. Provide design and product engineering support for cost out initiatives driven from other departments such as manufacturing and supply chain.
• Serve as primary contact for buyers for issues requiring product engineering review for conformance to requirements, change requests, clarifications, etc.

• Complete product engineering actions to support the daily defective material review (DMR) process on the production floor along with quality and manufacturing engineering. Update engineering documentation as needed.
• Provide initial engineering review of customer returned material, work with lead engineers, quality engineers, and customers to determine root cause of failure. Produce failure analysis reports as needed.
• Lead problem solving activities and projects involving design and configuration of existing product. These may be initiated out of the continuous improvement teams, customer returns, supply chain issues, etc. Project scope may include redesign, change management, qualification test plan development and execution.
• Support product engineering functional goals such as the review of engineering standards, engineering process improvements, and 5S.
• Participate in new product development design reviews. Provide input from day to day experience. Learn from lead engineers
for personal development for future roles.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in engineering required. (Mechanical or Aerospace discipline preferred.)
• Minimum of one internship or co-op experience completed at the time of this application
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S.
Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Ability to read and understand Drawings, Specifications, and Requirements
• Understanding of design evaluation techniques such as reliability analysis, statistical tolerance stack up, Failure Mode and Effect analysis (FMEA), etc.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and switch focus efficiently
• Ability to compose clear and concise written communication
Preferred Qualifications:
• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community
• Two or more relevant internships or co-op experiences
• Proficiency in CAD (CATIA V5 preferred)
• Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Knowledge of fluid conveyance related products, manufacturing techniques and materials
• Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems for documentation control and workflow management
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools such as value stream mapping, Kaizen, etc.
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) backgroun
Additional Information:
• Position requires interaction with customers, customer representatives, auditors, regulatory agencies and all internal
departments/functions/levels.
• Limited travel may be required (< 10%)
Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The salary for this role ranges from $75,000 - $80,000. This position offers a one-time $6,000 signing bonus and relocation lump sum package.
