Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking an Aerospace Chief Engineer. This position can be located at our Bethel, CT or Glenolden, PA facilities.

The Chief Engineer will lead our sensing teams at multiple sites, responsible for design and qualification of new products for commercial and military platforms.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year.

• Own technical leadership for Sensing product line while collaborating with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural globally distributed teams, providing technical direction.

• Lead execution of robust design processes and continuous improvement/design efficiency initiatives (i.e. Design for Six Sigma) for new product development, cost-out, and other sustaining activities.
• Guide and mentor other PE engineers to enhance their technical skills and experience.
• Support the development and execution of strategic planning initiatives and technology roadmaps to support organic growth strategy in sensing; leveraging capabilities within all aerospace divisions.
• Contribute to aerospace electrification strategy by creating a robust capabilities development plan.
• Keep abreast of the latest power electronics technologies and business trends, apply this knowledge to power conversion and protection, and identify new opportunities.
• Develop close professional relationships with customers for developing new product requirements, major modifications of existing products, prototype qualification test requirements, and resolve product performance deficiencies.
• Support sales team with customer technology exchanges.
• Maintain close liaison with Plant operations to ensure high-quality product integrity and year-over-year manufacturing cost reductions.
• Drive engineering efficiency to leverage analytical tools to reduce product development time & improve time to market metrics.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in engineering, product development and qualifications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in developing aerospace electro-mechanical systems / sensors / pressure transducers.
• Experience with application of Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technology, Digital Design & Model Based Design (MBD).
