Position Summary:

We’re seeking a Senior Product Compliance Manager - Payments/Lending to serve as a generalist subject matter expert to mitigate current and emerging Consumer Protections compliance risks by creatively leveraging data and technology to improve the effectiveness of business and compliance processes and related controls.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000.00 - $204,000.00 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

This is a remote position.

What You'll Do:

  • Promote awareness of the high standards of compliance and champion a culture where compliance is a key part of business decision making by providing effective challenge and guidance to various stakeholders on compliance risks;
  • Advise lines of business on application of Compliance requirements to new products, changes to existing products, process development, development of controls and monitoring, and remediation/corrective action of compliance breakdowns;
  • Support marketing compliance reviews related to product changes;
  • Identify areas of cross-functional collaboration in alignment with business goals and initiate projects with material business impact with appropriate buy-in.
  • Analyze new and changes to existing regulations, their applicability to our products and services, while proactively developing compliant or substantially enhancing existing solutions;
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and other related processes and controls;
  • Develop and deliver related compliance training to stakeholders and all other employees; 
  • Execute compliance risk assessments to address regulatory risks;
  • Monitor and test adherence to and effectiveness of policies, procedures, and other controls; and
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and escalate when appropriate.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of compliance risk management experience in Financial Services, specifically with lending and/or payments experience, with ability to support consumer deposits a plus;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of consumer protection laws and regulations (e.g. TILA/CARD Act/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, UDAP/UDAAP, EFTA/Reg E, NACHA, ACH, Visa/MC network rules, FCRA/Reg V, FDCPA/Reg F, TISA/Reg DD, CDIA/Metro2 requirements, etc.);
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance/regulatory risks, processes, and control frameworks, and the ability to design and evaluate the effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes;
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal communication;
  • Strong orientation to deadline and detail;
  • Commercially-oriented creative thinker, and problem solver;
  • Strong project management, critical thinking and analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to define and lead team initiatives from end-to-end with minimal guidance (e.g. independently make proper risk assessments and judgment calls within full scope of functional areas)
