This is a senior influential role partnering with the UK Leadership Team requiring an innovative, collaborative, customer-centric approach. You will be exposed to many different aspects of the business and have an opportunity to work on local and corporate People Team projects (e.g. people integration project focused on recently acquired European business with circa 2000 employees across 19 countries).

The UK People Leader will hold strategic and operational responsibility for the people plan for D&B UK business, working closely with senior stakeholders to implement innovative and best practice people strategies. Reporting to the SVP, People Business Partner for International, you will be collaborating closely with the Global People Team Business Partners and Centers of Excellence. This role is a key member of the UK Leadership team and the International People Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As an active member of the UK Senior Leadership Team you will have responsibility for setting and delivering on Corporate strategic goals and vision for UK operations as well as shaping the direction of the business and driving positive change and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Senior Functional Leaders based in the UK.
  • Leader of UK People Team, with responsibility for ensuring the teams are adequately resourced, skilled and engaged to support the success and commitments of the business.
  • Driving operational consistency through the local People Service Centre.
  • Full accountability for the development and implementation of People Plans, including diversity and inclusion, total rewards, talent acquisition, early careers (internships, graduate programs), employee engagement, talent development, leadership development, workforce planning, employee relations and succession planning.
  • Work with the International, Global Functional and Local Business Partners to provide coaching, advice and support to leaders on organizational design and development.
  • Enable leaders to develop a coaching culture combined with a positive, proactive approach to talent development, especially career progression and leadership development.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the external legal and regulatory employment environment, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relative to HR and people practices. Managing the strategic relationship with external legal counsel, overseeing complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases, managing difficult cases with professionalism.
  • Drive cultural change in an ever changing / evolving industry with conflicting priorities.

The unique nature of the role demands a high caliber, commercial and resilient individual who is comfortable with challenging and demanding priorities, driving change and transformation.
  • You will be a credible business leader who can inspire and lead the business.
  • Degree in human resources/business related discipline/relevant CIPD qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years senior HR experience with at least 5 year leading a HR function.
  • Solid operational background, particularly in relation to compliance, HR processes & employment legislation.
  • Experience at implementing large scale complex change projects.
  • Ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions.
  • Ability to influence employees at all levels to support your decisions and proposed plans.
  • Ability to coach and counsel at a senior leader level.
  • Previous experience working within a multinational matrix environment an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead in a high performing team environment with a strong motivation to attract, retain and develop top Human Resources professionals.
