The Impact you will have in this role:
The Executive Director, Strategy & Market Solutions is a senior leader position responsible for supporting the development of strategic objectives for the Clearing & Securities Services (CSS) and working with the business leaders to execute on the defined strategy. You will work closely with senior leadership across various business lines to identify new market opportunities, develop strategic plans, and lead new initiatives. This role combines strategic thinking, market analysis, and engagement with leadership, including the Board and industry forums, to ensure DTCC's continued growth and innovation in the financial services industry The Impact You'll Have: As an Executive Director, Strategy & Market Solutions, you will be at the forefront of innovation in the financial markets. You will support the development and execution of strategic plans that connect and integrate asset classes across CSS, identify new market opportunities, and manage investment portfolios to ensure DTCC's continued growth and success. Your leadership and strategic insights will drive DTCC's mission to create opportunities for our clients and to grow and protect the global financial market through developing new market structures, enabling scale and capital efficiency.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Assist in developing the strategic plan/framework for CSS, establish processes, procedures, methodology, and standards for strategic planning to identify and evaluate key strategies for various business lines/asset classes
- Product Development: Support business leaders and product managers in defining business cases for new product development solve for client needs and aligns with growth agenda
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare briefing to senior leadership including DTCC Executive Committee and the Board to update on market insights, trends, opportunities, and strategic pursuits
- Market Analysis: Conduct customer needs analysis, market segmentation, and strategic analysis to identify new market opportunities
- Investment Strategy: Support the definition of DTCC's investment focus for organic and inorganic growth at the enterprise and business level. Proactively prioritize growth areas and source targets aligned to the defined opportunity spaces through in-depth industry research
- Portfolio Management: Conduct strategic updates, assist DTCC executive leadership in decision-making related to ongoing strategic investments and/or lifecycle events, and supervise performance of investment relative to desired outcome
- Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with the deal team to manage due diligence, draft and negotiate deal terms, interact with internal/external subject matter experts and advisors, obtain input from senior business sponsors on key issues, and seek approvals
- Fosters a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- An MBA or other advanced degree or consulting experience is preferred.
- Must have experience in the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to settlement and asset servicing, clearing, trade processing, repository and derivatives services, and financial data services. Strong understanding of capital markets, post-trade processing, and the digital asset FinTech ecosystem
- Strategic and analytical skills with the ability to draw key insights and develop clear recommendations
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
