The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Data Management Team, the Senior Analyst will support the leadership team in establishing, maturing, and driving the implementation of industry-leading data management practices. The Data Management Team implements and supports data management practices that are foundational for the transition to a sustainable, resilient, technology proof, controlled data environment using modern data management practices. In addition, the Data Management Senior Analyst will bridge the gap between IT and the business by accessing, profiling, and analyzing data, and communicating clearly and concisely with a broad range of technical and business partners

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in preliminary data analysis for new projects to resolve whether required data exists within DTCC, helping to identify authoritative sources for existing data
  • Assist the Data Steward team in partnering with business and operational partners to assess logical data element names, propose clear and accurate data definitions, and help identify valid values for the data
  • Support data domain management testing, data quality continuous monitoring, sustainability reviews to ensure metadata is current and accurate, and data quality rules for critical data elements are still relevant and effective
  • Use the enterprise metadata repository to input and handle required metadata for critical and prioritized data elements in support initiatives and enterprise-wide data efforts
  • Support the Enterprise Data Quality and Metadata Repository teams by assisting in User Acceptance Testing for new functionality planned for upcoming releases
  • Support data quality through data profiling, documenting data quality and data validation rules, monitoring and researching data quality exceptions, assessing issue validity, performing root cause analysis for identified data quality issues, and supporting data cleansing efforts to ensure that data is fit for its intended use
  • Assist the Data Steward with project planning and metrics, and effort estimation
  • Help track and report on important metrics for identified use cases
  • Assist in providing analytical and reporting capabilities to support decision making by the business partners
  • Assist in drafting high quality presentation material to share with partners and leadership that provides the appropriate level of detail for the intended audience
  • Participate on agile project squads, including attending daily stand-up, grooming sessions and other agile ceremonies, assist with user stories creation, and help measure project metrics
  • Develop expertise in assigned information domain data, becoming the go-to person for answering inquiries from teams about how the data flows through different systems, where the data is stored, and if it's fit for purpose

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience


Talents Needed For Success:
  • Exposure to AI/ML, particularly as it relates to data analysis and anomaly detection
  • Ability to build SQL queries to analyze data
  • Basic understanding of Logical Data Modeling and Database design is a plus
  • Knowledge of data management processes and standard methodologies preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required
  • Experience with data management tools, and business process tools preferred
  • Technical skills highly preferred along with strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Agile framework and Jira is preferred
