About the Role
In coordination with the payroll team, you will be responsible for the end to end payroll processes and payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with local legislation and internal policies. You will initiate, implement and enhance procedures to ensure that payrolls are compliant and accurate, escalate potential issues to the HR Leader and Partners to ensure visibility and resolution; lead root cause analysis, mitigation and prevention plans for payroll. You will lead and support internal, external audits and any requirement including those with the authorities, ensuring to close efficiently. You will play a key role in the implementation of payroll projects and compliance updates. You will report to the Payroll Manager, and serve as an important advisor and subject matter expert on operational and technical payroll processes.

- Coordinate and execute the delivery of payroll data to the payroll provider for regular and off-cycle payroll runs, ensuring the validation and approval in accordance with established schedules and aligned to local legislations to guarantee an efficient and accurate payroll process.
- Responsible for coordinating payroll tax processes with internal and external partners, ensuring accurate application in compliance with country-specific regulations and timely remittance
- Well equipped with end to end Mexican payroll process and be able to identify areas for improvement always in compliance with the country laws
- Create processing guidelines, including checklist and reconciliation for a closed loop process
- Coordinate, provide support and execute for any internal or external requirements related to Payroll
- Provide operational support and perspective to our processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with the payroll team the daily work activities, organize and prioritize department workload; monitor status of activities
- Oversee the management, safeguarding, and maintenance of documentation and information related to the work of the area and of the personnel.
- Support other personnel administration process (Employee orientation)
- Work with internal partners and the payroll team to provide any necessary reporting, mitigation and prevention plans needed from payroll
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring deliverables are provided within the established deadlines,.always aiming for a positive auditor opinion, and provide status updates to management
- Coordinate and support the implementation of payroll projects, procedures, policies, and practices that help make the process more efficient, as well as legal, tax, or labor updates. Conduct consultations with expert areas.
We're excited about you because...
- You have 5+ years of experience in Mexico Payroll, regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable local payroll and related tax laws, regulations and statutes.
- Proficient in Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sheets)
- Knowledge of Mexican legislations and procedures related to payroll, IMSS, SUA, LFT, ISN, ISR, INFONAVIT and FONACOT
- Desire knowledge of Brazilian payroll procedures
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, being able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines
- Proactive mindset and ability to work effectively in a team
- You are able to handle stress well, humble and scrappy!
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Excellent communication skill
