DashMart is a rapidly growing business vertical within DoorDash, operating micro-fulfillment centers across the United States. We deliver fresh groceries and household essentials, reliably and quickly. The Workforce Analytics team empowers DashMart by developing innovative solutions and analyses to optimize our workforce and enable our associates and leaders to meet evolving customer demands.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Workforce Analytics initiatives across our DashMarts nationwide. You will design, implement, and manage comprehensive workforce planning strategies to optimize headcount capacity, scheduling, and flexible labor solutions. Your role is pivotal in aligning labor strategies with operational excellence to support DashMart's growth.

This role operates in a hybrid working model with up to 20% travel required to partner directly with local operational teams and for corporate offsites. You will report to the Head of DashMart Workforce Operations and lead a team of direct & indirect reports.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Lead Strategic Workforce Analytics: Ensure sufficient headcount capacity to meet forecasted workloads, developing robust scheduling and capacity planning models.
  • Develop Analytical Tools: Build comprehensive, data-driven capacity models, ensuring actionable insights through accurate data collection, time-in-motion studies, and productivity benchmarking.
  • Innovate Labor Strategies: Drive strategic workforce decisions including time type mix, role type, and more.
  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with Central Operations, Finance, Local Operations, and Product teams to ensure workforce strategies align with broader organizational goals.

We're excited about you because:

  • You have 8-10+ years of experience in workforce planning, labor analytics, retail operations, or relevant consulting roles.
  • You possess strong analytical and data-driven skills, with expertise in Google Sheets, SQL, and familiarity with data architecture and workforce modeling.
  • You have proven experience in developing and implementing strategic workforce planning initiatives including flexible labor management and capacity optimization.
  • You excel in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments and possess the ability to quickly adapt strategies and processes.
  • You are a strategic thinker, capable of identifying problems and systematically implementing solutions from conception to execution.
  • You are detail-oriented, proactive, and organized, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving impactful results.
  • You completed a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$170,000-$250,000 USD
