About the Team
DoorDash is looking for a Manager - Merchant Strategy & Operations to help define, build, and optimise the strategy and processes for restaurants across Australia & New Zealand. In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with our product, sales, operations, partner management, and analytics teams to help strengthen the merchant orgainsation in the region.
Restaurants are at the heart of our marketplace, and we aim to provide them with a best-in-class experience from onboarding to growth. As DoorDash continues to scale and expand its offerings, the merchant operations engine must grow in efficiency, precision, and adaptability.
About the Role
As a Manager of Merchant Strategy & Operations, you will lead key initiatives that improve merchant performance and experience. This includes executing strategic projects, improving internal processes, supporting go-to-market efforts, and training and empowering your team. You'll play a critical role in driving operational metrics and supporting process enhancements from planning through to execution. This role will be 3 days in-office with 2 days remote.

- Support Strategy Development - Contribute to defining and refining the strategy for merchant operations across Australia & New Zealand to improve delivery quality and the overall merchant experience.
- Execute Operational Improvements - Drive the implementation of best practices in merchant onboarding, activation, and engagement.
- Lead - Develop and coach your team through operational and strategic initiatives that align with the wider Merchant S&O team, and ANZ business.
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with product, operations, and partnerships teams in both ANZ and globally, to ensure a seamless merchant experience on the platform.
- Data Analysis & Insights - Build and interpret models and dashboards to evaluate the impact of operational initiatives on key metrics such as delivery speed and merchant retention.
- Pilot and Experiment - Run targeted tests with partner restaurants to improve service quality and uncover new opportunities to strengthen the delivery network.
- Support Team Coordination - Partner with internal stakeholders to support communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing within the ANZ Merchant Operations function.
We're excited about you because...
- 5 - 8 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, business development, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage projects and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL is a plus, but not required.
