Overview:
The Senior Core Technology Manager will be a key member of our team, responsible for managing audio and imaging core technologies used in a wide variety of products to deliver best-in-class experiences with Dolby content. This role involves overseeing one or more Core Audio Technology components, ensuring they meet both current and future needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Vision and Strategy: Develop and maintain a forward-looking technical vision for Core Audio technologies. Engage with technology leads, product managers, and the audio research team to understand and address both short-term and long-term needs.
  • Roadmap and Execution: Define component requirements and long-term roadmaps. Create and execute tactical plans, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Technical Excellence: Promote a culture of technical excellence and drive engineering teams using agile methodologies. Be adaptable to changes in the market or internal environment.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership for Dolby's Core Audio technologies. Evangelize core audio technologies across all product and business teams. Influence the products to align audio experiences by using technologies developed by the team.
Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. An MBA or other business qualification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with media technology, specifically in developing or managing audio technologies such as codecs or pre-/post-processors. Experience with Dolby technology and AI/ML-based audio processing is preferred.
  • Demonstrates the ability to thrive in uncertain environments by introducing clarity and structure.
  • Strong technical leadership, system architecture understanding, and innovative problem-solving skills. Effective collaboration in a globally distributed organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Up to date on relevant market developments.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $148,400-$ 204,100, which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
